My creative space

My eldest sister is having her birthday next week so I decided to make her a Cosmetic purse using Nicole Mallalieu Design's Kit. And a matching little tote with Jennie McClelland's cute pattern out of the Meet me at Mikes book.

And now I'm off to a friends birthday lunch... hope you have a lovely day and keep warm down there in the southern reigons of Australia. It's a bit cold here too in Townsville...lol no really I have a cardi & jeans on :)

Pop on over to Kootoyoo and see what other crafty types are up to.

Edit - My husband keeps telling me (nagging) i need to put my own label onto the gifts i create, but i have no clue where to look for them, any hints on where i could pick up some cotton tape labels? thank you, trying to keep the man happy, you know x

  4. We both had the same idea this week. Cute !! For labels, you could make your own with twill tape by sending it through your printer. I have a tutorial coming up on http://www.weekendvintage.com next week.

  6. cardi and jeans indeed. we are wearing thermal undies down here in fickle old melbourne. love your pressies. i got my labels from a supplier that i found via alibaba.com they are great and very cheap but you have to order 500 or more. there are also suppliers on etsy.com but a bit expensive. i like the idea of printing my own will have to remember to check in on weekend vintage next week. thanks jana

  7. you sound like youbare enjoying some happy times! As for labels I print out onto special fabric-paper, which you can buy in some office supply places.I just do simple word doc text but the skies your limit with it and you can cut it to size. I always forget to sew mine in though!

  8. I think it's a good idea to put a label on your gifts, you can never know where nice surprises might come.

  9. I grew up in Townsville, and I remember it being 7 degrees overnight and FREEZING. Then I moved to Canberra and sometimes it doesn't even get to 7 degrees during the day! I love the cold though.

Love the little purse! So cute!
